Rick Matter of Pennsylvania, long ago. Rambled his way to NY & LA in the 60s, wandered into the Pacific Northwest, singing songs on the mountain. Settled down with family, with kids & grandkids. Here's 3 songs from 1999, recorded on a rattling dictaphone, happened upon by the sister he'd mailed them to. Raw songs, spooled from years & miles, things dreamed & things done. "No Can Do" reads his business card. But he dreams still, and things get done. Here's the buzz of Dylan and strains of Prine and always the whisper of that old & eternal America.
